As the Gardener Pens Down His Thoughts and Sentiments…

MILL VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — When the unspoken thoughts of the quiet gardener are unveiled, a whole lot of emotions and ideas unravel.  And that's what author Bob Battersby shares with this newly published book of prose, The Gardener at Sea and Other Tales. It draws the reader, whether they be a gardener or not, into the world of the gardeners and their unique relationship with nature.

This new collection of garden-related prose, written over a span of years, will be a great read in the garden – and other readers would wish they were in a garden. The reader is drawn to things castoff and how rusted relics are viewed differently through the eyes of the poet, the gardener, the artist or the photographer. It talks about the relationship of those who garden have with Nature and what it takes to be a gardener – knowing that once a person starts dabbling in soil and call him a gardener cannot anymore be called a used-to-be gardener.

Gardening is the state where the garden has the person as much as the person has the garden. Further, gardening is the one human endeavor that spans the world and includes everybody regardless of who or where they are. Everyone shares the beauty or the fruit of the garden.
