According to Barbara Smith, founder of Women, Own Your Power! Workshops, "During the workshop, we provide tools for becoming successful personally and financially while continually renewing and revitalizing your life.  I am an experienced facilitator and mentor and I enjoy seeing others gain amazing benefits.  I teach how to shift your state of mind to change your life – and how to overcome resistance to change and identify the habits that keep you down. I suggest and practice methods to motivate you into clarity, strength and success."

According to Smith, other skills gained during the interactive workshop include:

  • How to find new wells of energy and power within – learning meditation and concentration techniques that bring  you in touch with vast, untapped energy within, giving you the focus and energy to have breakthrough successes in all aspects of life.
  • How to get in touch with what you truly want –gaining clarity about your purpose in life and crystallizing your mission in order to achieve your goals.
  • How to unleash the power of goal setting –learning how to actualize your goals through the magic of visualization and consistency.
  • How to develop more confidence and build self-esteem.

"Also," said Smith, "the best part is that it's really a lot of fun!  Women will meet friends and colleagues they will treasure for the rest of their lives."

Jessica Torres, a Bay Area Youth Coordinator, stated, "Today was a powerful day for me. The workshop helped me clearly define my goals and identify shadows and fears that I have created that are standing in my way. I came out with a reminder of how wonderful I am and hope to use connections made today as a support group in the future. "

The next Women, Own Your Power! Workshop will take place on Saturday, January 18th, at 1pm, at the Women's Building. 3543 18th St. San Francisco, CA
