Everybody Wins! USA Awarded Power Lunch Expansion Grant from Pitney Bowes Foundation

BOSTON, Jan. 7, 2010 — Everybody Wins! USA, a nationally recognized literacy and mentoring organization, has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Pitney Bowes Foundation. The grant will expand opportunities for low-income youth and the communities they live in by replicating the successful Everybody Wins! Power Lunch program in cities where Pitney Bowes has offices.

"Everybody Wins! USA is pleased to continue our relationship with Pitney Bowes to bring the joy of books and reading to more low-income children around the country," said Rich Greif, the National Executive Director of Everybody Wins! USA.

"The Pitney Bowes Foundation is pleased to support the mentoring efforts of Everybody Wins! USA," said Kathleen Ryan Mufson, Pitney Bowes's director of corporate citizenship and philanthropy. "Pitney Bowes volunteers that participate in the Everybody Wins! Power Lunch program are reading mentors for students, evoking in them a curiosity and passion for reading while building their knowledge and vocabulary base." Additional support from Pitney Bowes includes the service of Matt Broder, Vice President of External Communications at Pitney Bowes, who first joined the Everybody Wins! USA board in 2006. He was elected Chairman of the Board in 2009.
