Western's facility displays state-of-the-art security systems
PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 17, 2008 — Western Graphics & Data, a division of IGH Solutions, has been approved by Visa Inc. to package, ship and store Visa Card Products. Western Graphics & Data recently moved to a new highly secure facility, the only of its kind in the Pacific Northwest designed to allow secure packaging of financial cards.
A rigorous set of security requirements is fulfilled by Western's new facility, which allows them to manufacture various packaging applications for stored value products. Western Graphics & Data received its first financial card certification from American Express in 2005, then MasterCard in 2006, and Discover in 2007.
"With a focus on responding to the changes in our customers' service and quality needs, we made a significant investment in equipment, and electrical and security systems, in order to obtain this important certification," said Scott Mitton, general manager of Western Graphics & Data.
The new 44,000-square-foot facility is continuously monitored through 64 cameras. In addition, admission is monitored and restricted by security guards, fencing, and an actively operating access control system.
"Achieving this certification represents a development milestone for Western, as it enables us to better serve our customers in the financial card market sector," continued Mitton.
