NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Stylinity, a new fashion tech startup merging social media, e-commerce and the in-store experience, announced today its official relationship with style icon Stacy London, who will join the team and serve as a member of the board.

"Stacy immediately understood what we're all about here at Stylinity: making each person feel fashionable and empowered by their unique style," says Tadd Spering, founder and CEO of Stylinity. "What Not to Wear was so much more than a show about makeovers – it was about people finding their style and feeling great about themselves.  Stacy built her career understanding the important impact fashion has on one's outlook, and the synergies abound between both Stacy and Style for Hire, her business through which stylists around the US help people look their best. The better we feel about ourselves, the better we feel about the world and our part in it. Stacy gets that."

Launching this month, Stylinity will change the way consumers shop for clothing and accessories both in-store and online.  Stylinity created new technology including the Style Stage to engage customers and expand both in store and online business. Aimed at Millennial shoppers that love technology, the Style Stage is an internet-ready selfie photo studio, just outside the dressing room, that tags the clothes allowing other shoppers to search for and buy those products online in a fully shoppable social commerce catalogue.

"I am excited to be part of this growing company that merges new tech and the social aspect of celebrating style," says Stacy.  "I love that you can share your looks with friends, show off new purchases, and that these items are available immediately to your friends and family, and anyone who admires your style.  Stylinity.com also makes it easy to find clothes that will fit your size and style because you can search for apparel based on size, height and hair color – all based on other Style Stage users. Stylinity has merged social media and shopping in a fun and consumer-focused way."

In her role with Stylinity, London will be sharing her creative insights to help the brand grow, expanding Stylinity's consumer following, and inspiring retail partners.

Spering added, "We look forward to this new relationship with Stacy who has empowered women for years on What Not to Wear.  She gets fashion, but she also gets people, and that's what makes Stacy's insight so powerful. We know her experience will be an invaluable contribution to our company and its continued growth."
