Wavien, Inc. Showcases DPR(R) Long Life Lamp Technology at the Campus Technology Conference

VALENCIA, Calif., July 27, 2009 — Wavien, Inc. today announces that it will present its patented Dual Paraboloid Reflector (DPR) technology for front projector applications at the Campus Technology Conference 2009 (CTC), being held July 27-30, 2009 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Wavien's DPR technology extends the operating lifetime of standard arc lamps used in front projectors by over three times, reducing frequency and cost of lamp replacement as well as significantly reducing maintenance cost and downtime. As previously announced, Wavien and Texas Instruments DLP(R) Products are co-promoting DPR technology for the front projector market and initially targeting the educational segment.

"We are very excited to have the support of Texas Instruments DLP(R) Products in promoting Wavien's DPR technology, with initial focus on the rapidly growing educational market for front projectors," stated Dr. Kenneth Li, President and CEO of Wavien, Inc. and inventor of the DPR technology. "The educational market is heavily burdened by frequent and costly projector maintenance, especially for lamp replacement, due to high usage requirements and dependence on reliable front projectors," Dr. Li continued. "Wavien's unique, patented DPR design enables a significant reduction in the cost of projector operation and offers a cutting edge solution to the high cost of projector ownership," concluded Dr. Li.

Wavien will showcase its DPR technology at CTC 2009 Booth #124 using a modified Delta front projector to demonstrate the latest performance improvements.
