SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 21, 2009 — WaveNest Innovations today announced the release of BabyBuilder, the first interactive iPhone and iPod touch baby-building application which can be easily shared by email or with social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.
BabyBuilder allows any two people to get an animated glimpse into what their future or fantasy infant baby might look like. BabyBuilder’s core technology uses complex facial mapping and recognition algorithms to generate the most realistic looking babies possible from digital photos. The application’s mapping and recognition technology focuses on key facial features such as the ears, eyes, nose, mouth and chin as well as the relative distance between those features to calculate a personal animated version of a baby for two people. Anyone can easily build a baby with any pair of uploaded photos captured with an iPhone’s built-in camera or previously saved to the device’s photo library. Just as easily one can share their digital animated newborn using their choice of online communities from a single interface, eliminating the need to navigate to each site separately.
Capable of randomly producing creepy baby talk, baby puke, or even making noises that might gross out a few, BabyBuilder is meant to make people laugh, joke, make fun and share that experience. You can build a baby with celebrities, athletes, supermodels, rock stars, and even politicians if you’re so inclined.
