The stories are illustrated with photographs and 20 beautiful coloring pages, and followed by authentic vegan and vegetarian recipes, to inspire healthy eating habits for the entire family.

"Garden Super Hero Tales" is the first volume in a series of 10 that will set the stage for 100 different veggies, herbs and fruit, to show their true super powers for a healthy diet. The books are inspired by the author's own son, Paul-Jules, who is the main hero of the stories. The reader joins the little boy as he explores the magical world of the veggies, who traveled around the world, and have many beautiful memories to share. Smaller children can still follow Paul-Jules's journey, through images by photographer Mihai Petre, and beautiful illustrations by Patricia Revita.

Mihai Petre is a Romanian professional photographer living in Madrid, Spain. His commercial work is available to license via Getty Images, Shutterstock, Fotolia, Alamy, and Dreamstime.

Patricia Revita was born in Manila, Philippines, and arrived in Canada with her family in 1988. Drawing since childhood, she worked in freelance illustration and graphic art for over 10 years. Aside from her artistic endeavors, she enjoys cooking, baking and singing karaoke. She lives in Toronto with her Papillon, two rats and two degus, all whom are mysteriously male.

The author, Mihaela Lica Butler, is Romanian, living in Germany. She's cooked since early childhood, and wants more than anything to ignite this passion for children around the world. A healthy diet is the secret to a healthy, happier life: Mihaela herself learned this the hard way, when her husband, Phil Butler, suffered a major heart attack. She now cooks mainly vegan and vegetarian dishes, to protect her husband's heart, and to inspire her little boy to stay safe from unhealthy eating habits.

"Garden Super Hero Friends" will be available for sale via Amazon, and other online retailers beginning January 2014. Early shoppers can already find it on Lulu.com: http://www.lulu.com/content/14328674. For more information, and loads of cooking fun, follow the Super Heroes on Facebook.
