The company is looking to add more than 100 new tutors in the New York City area in the next three to six months. After its launch five years ago, Varsity Tutors has very quickly grown to become one of the leading tutoring services nationwide. With approximately 1,200 tutors and 60 employees, the company currently operates in 14 of the largest metro areas across the country, including New York. As demand for its services continues to grow considerably, Varsity Tutors is finding a pressing need for hundreds of more tutors, particularly in New York City.
With the economy still stagnating, many are choosing to return to graduate school. At the same time, the undergraduate admissions process has become ever more competitive. These combined factors have led to an increase in the demand for academic subject tutoring as well as test prep. In turn, there is an increased need for high quality tutors in New York.
Varsity Tutors holds extraordinarily high standards for tutors, only accepting those who are able to prove that they are not just experts in their respective subjects but that they can teach them effectively as well.
