"I am delighted to offer this important training opportunity at UTSA," said Frank Salazar, director of UTSA's Extended Education. "The human resources professional has experienced many changes in their field over the last several years. Many of these professionals have taken a more active role in strategic planning and leadership development in their organizations. The Human Resource Management Certificate Program provides participants with the information and up-to-the-minute training they need to more effectively adapt to changing roles, responsibilities and business models."

The Human Resource Management Certificate Program begins September 11 and meets through December 4. UT-PDC and UTSA offer this program in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Thousands of HR professionals have earned their PHR or SPHR certifications by using the SHRM Learning System, the number one ranked certification prep tool. "I am so proud of how this program has proven to be such an important source of education and career development for human resource professionals in Texas," said Liliya Spinazzola, director of the Professional Development Center. "This year, UT-PDC was named one of the top twenty providers of SHRM-based training in the United States out of over 300 universities and colleges offering these kinds of programs. The ranking, based on the number of enrollments, is a direct reflection of how highly this training has become regarded by our participants and the entire Texas human resource industry.
