Tony’s Bar Cards – Trading Cards with a Purpose

GOLDEN, Colo., March 18, 2009 — You need service at a restaurant, see the waitperson oh-so-close, and then watch in frustration as they walk the other way. You want another round but how do you get the attention of that busy bartender without making a small scene? You’d love to tell a friendly bartender to get lost when you don’t want to chat but don’t wish to be rude.

Enter – Tony’s Bar Cards: trading cards with a purpose!

The front side is a custom-designed image of the bar or restaurant. The obverse of the card reads “Request Service” above a large, brightly colored symbol. Pick up a TBC as you enter, or ask your bartender or waitperson.

When seated, leave the image side-up on the corner of your table or next to you at the bar, indicating “I’m good.” When you need service, just flip it over to the “Request Service” symbol.

Tony’s Bar Cards are a great way to receive better service without interrupting the flow at your table – or others – with those difficult-to-disguise gestures for attention. TBCs allow a waitperson or bartender to more efficiently schedule their rounds – without being obtrusive!

Waitpersons can see the Request Service symbol on the card from a distance; bartenders can quickly scan the length of the bar for your TBC status as they work.

Tony’s Bar Cards are a great collectible and souvenir of your outing. Grab an extra one and give it to your boss with the business dinner tab receipt; perhaps he will ignore that bottle of Chateau Petrus 1982 you charged to the company!

The TBC website (http://www.tonysbarcards.com) will list all the bars and restaurants using authentic TBCs, images of their card(s) and more information about their establishment.

Visitors to the TBC website may leave for-your-eyes-only messages to proprietors – who may establish time, date and waitperson by the TBC number.

Restaurants and bars may use the unique TBC number on each card to track visitors, seating, service or for promotions and drawings.

We don’t think a Lupe’s Grill #1 will ever top a Mickey Mantle rookie card – but, who knows?
