A Time for People to Exit the Wilderness and Enter the Promised Land

Author brings hope to believers in the 2014 American Library Association Midwinter Book Exhibit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 24-27, 2014

EAST ROCKAWAY, N.Y., Feb. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Looking around and observing the current state of politics, including all the negative publicity slapped in people's faces, there is no doubt that even Christians can become discouraged and lose site of the hope that they actually have.  That's why in the upcoming American Library Association Midwinter Book Festival, author Sharon Hurkens features her book, Exit the Wilderness, to help people refocus on who they are in Christ – believers who do not lose hope and who know they have a purpose.

The author lets people see where they are stuck in the Wilderness. God then restores their hope and trust in Him and moves them forward to a life worth living. God created everyone uniquely with a specific purpose in mind.  With His help, people can live lives of fulfillment and carry out that plan for which they were created.

Using the life of Moses and her experiences and encounters with God, the author likens life situations to hers.  God wants to lead everyone to a life full of promise and purpose.  Most of the excuses people use when God calls them to do a task are that they are inadequate for the task.  Yet God takes their inadequacies and empowers them to accomplish His plan for them.  Everyone has scars from past negative experiences and this hinders them from walking a life of purpose which God intended for them.
