The Story of One Young Woman’s Journey to Triumph Over Evil
SPOKANE, Wash., March 18, 2009 — The intrigue of unseen spiritual struggles between good and evil fill the new fiction thriller, “Sharene, Death: A Prerequisite for Life” (published by iUniverse). God and Satan battle over a young Christian girl’s soul but she determinedly overcomes the misfortunes placed in her life by Satan through her faith in God.
During young Sharene Marsena’s brief lifetime, where her actions and beliefs impact many, she’s tragically raped by Evon Trask during a summer visit to her grandmother’s home in South Carolina. She learns he’s infected her with a deadly virus, A.I.D.S. Trying to salvage meaning in her shortened time on earth, Sharene is enlisted by the CIA to help tumble a drug lord’s empire in the South American country of Colombia. Her mission to Colombia is the beginning of a trying journey to hell and back.
At a pivotal point in “Sharene, Death: A Prerequisite for Life,” illustrating the intertwining of God throughout the story, Sharene lets go of her anger for Evon Trask and instead extends her forgiveness during the trial, beginning Sharene’s journey to triumphantly achieve God’s plan for her before she dies:
“Then, at a moment that even caught the wary hunter (Satan) off guard, Sharene Marsena looked directly at the young man who’d raped her, and, with divine inspiration, said, ‘I harbor no hatred toward you, Evon Trask. In fact, I forgive you.’ The jury collectively looked skeptical and perplexed, yet missed nothing as Sharene concluded her thought. ‘Still, until you acknowledge your sin and seek repentance, you’ll never know peace.’”
