Hollywood cast to attend family-friendly feature film that was shot, produced in KC
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 30, 2011 — Attaboy Media Productions announced the world premiere of the feature film "Three Blind Saints" will be Dec. 13 at the AMC Mainstreet Theater in Kansas City. Red carpet starts at 6:15 p.m., with the screening at 7 p.m.
The cast of the comedy/drama – starring Richard Speight, Jr., Stelio Savante, Elijah Rock, Murray Gershenz, Audrey Matos, with Irma P. Hall and Barry Corbin – will be in Kansas City for the premiere event.
Steven J. Gray, writer and executive producer, lives in Kansas City and owns Attaboy Media Productions. He is a three-time Emmy Award winner for the nationally syndicated "The Steve & Kathy Show."
"Three Blind Saints" is a comedy-drama about three wily guys "sentenced" to community service at a dysfunctional church. While bungling through their duties, they uncover a greedy plot to build a mega sports bar using the church's money. The men must decide whether to join in the plot or blow the whistle.
"Don't expect your typical laidback faith-based film," Gray said. "'Three Blind Saints' is a fast-paced, hilarious look at the state of religion in America. It's the blind leading the blind, until love breaks through, and three unlikely guys decide to rescue the impaired congregation."
John Eschenbaum, of "The Steve & Kathy Show," is the director. Brad Wilson, of such feature films as "Believers Among Us," "A Family Thing" and "Days of Thunder," is the producer.
"Three Blind Saints" was shot in the Kansas City area in October/November 2010. The highly anticipated film is expected to be released to select theaters nationwide in early 2012.
