ST. ALBERT, Ontario — Author J.E.F. Seguin is proud to introduce his suspense-filled contemporary novel, “The Other Side of the Coin” (published by iUniverse). Mr. Seguin has written all his life and loves to give his active imagination a voice in the characters he creates. Lieutenant Albert Stone is one such character.
When Lieutenant Albert Stone arrives at the homicide scene of a prominent entrepreneur who recently had been exonerated of rape, he discovers the remnants of a grisly, stomach-churning slaughter. Stone realizes that a vigilante criminal had found justice for the 16-year-old victim. However, when the lieutenant finds himself working with a private detective, he begins to wonder if this detective is also the vigilante. Soon, Lieutenant Stone finds that he is being brought deeper and deeper into a mysterious world of deceit.
After a bombing, which was set to either free or kill the vigilante, Stone discovers he is being betrayed by friends and surrounded by enemies. In his hour of need he then believes that his only ally is the enemy he had been chasing for the past year.
The first in a series, Mr. Seguin takes readers on a wild ride in “The Other Side of the Coin,” which takes place in New York City. The account is not your typical detective story, but one with twists, turns, action, a touch of romance and humor; in other words, a real page turner.
