‘The Buoy’: Self Enhancement Based on Relaxation, Breathing and Emotional Introspection

BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Dec. 1, 2009 — “The Buoy” (published by iUniverse) by Guthbjorg Thoroddsen is based on the premise that all people are basically good at the core. All that’s required to return to that inner light is developing a self awareness that can draw upon that deep strength and love.

Thoroddsen believes that in order to achieve happiness, a person needs to first know, love and honor him or herself. Developing this glowing self image requires a few fundamentals, one of which is a breathing technique that encourages deep breaths all the way into the stomach, not just in the rib cage. By tapping in to the healing power of the body and mind, anyone can create their own happier reality.

Readers eager to accept this challenge will learn the Buoy technique, which employs six simple steps that will move closer to self-fulfillment each week. Though the author acknowledges that the path isn’t always easy and requires commitment and time to review, by the end of six weeks, readers will learn to:

  • Control their emotions and behavior
  • Use relaxation breathing and emotional processing to become stronger
  • Discover the emotions that drive feelings
  • Solve problems instead of getting stuck by them
  • Compare experiences with others

“The Buoy” offers concrete methods to help anyone who feels lost or out of control get back on track again. Whether you’re simply trying to build self esteem or recover from a personal tragedy, the techniques offered here can help regain composure and focus so you can live the life you want.
