WASHINGTON, Feb. 17, 2009 — Early Light Press, LLC announces the audio edition of “That’s My Hope: Featuring a Gallery of Multi-generational Artwork” (“HOPE”), written by co-authors Lil Ingram and Marlene Lee, and narrated by Rachel Klein-Kircher and eight children.
The audio edition of HOPE is available in MP3 format at no charge via the Internet website: http://www.thatsmyhope.com and will also be available via the website for the non-profit Hope Village: http://www.hopevillage.com/.
Dr. Harold Kudler, Duke University School of Medicine, emphasizes in the introductory “Note to Parents and Professionals,” that HOPE “opens the door to conversation, sharing, healing, and growth” among adults and children (ages 6-11) to discuss the challenges and changes families may experience as a result of traumatic injury or illness.
In addition to the story narration, HOPE’s original artwork is vividly described in the audio edition, along with the original short vignettes called “Sharing Our Stories.” Twelve child-artists and 16 adult-artists and photographers blend messages of trauma, illness, and injury — with hope and resilience.
