Students Are Allowed to Wear Pajamas at These Accredited Colleges

OVERVIEW.COM announces new features on award-winning college and career evaluation site

DALLAS, Aug. 11, 2009 — OVERVIEW.COM, one of the first databases of colleges and career information on the Internet, has recently added still more colleges, features, and information to their website. As well as campus colleges, their database includes online colleges, which allow students to complete coursework while studying at home on their own schedule using the Internet (and dress any way they choose!).

OVERVIEW’s award-winning college and career website includes career videos, government-based career advice and salary information, plus hundreds of links to both campus-based and online schools and colleges.

“Considering the current economy, now is one of the best times to enhance career skills and education. A wise high school graduate or employee can increase their value to an employer with a training program, certification, or degree,” says Ralph Greene, OVERVIEW President. “OVERVIEW.COM offers exceptional value, providing prospective students and/or their parents easy access to college information and college counselors, all at no cost.”

Over 4 million students will take online college courses in the United States this fall. The explosive growth is nearly 50 percent a year. Virtually all public higher education institutions, as well as a vast majority of private institutions, now offer online classes. Students can work part-time or even full-time while they take courses. Some employers will help pay for courses that relate to the job.

Campus schools and colleges offer evening and weekend classes for those that work during the day. They offer personal interaction with other students and are great for courses that require hands-on activities, labs, and training.

Visitors to OVERVIEW.COM can:

– Select online colleges. There are 45 career categories from which to choose. Click and get a list of colleges, and the individual courses and programs they offer in each category.

– Select campus colleges. Select your state or enter your ZIP code to find one near you (arranged by distance from your ZIP code) with courses and programs of interest.

– Select technical colleges. Find over 30 technical career categories, then list those colleges that offer the desired training.

– Select from 85 government-based career summaries, including salary, working conditions, required training and qualifications, and future job outlook.

– Select from over 80 short career videos.

After browsing and selecting a few schools or colleges of interest, free information or conversation with a college representative is only a mouse click away. Enrolling in courses is just as easy.

OVERVIEW.COM can be particularly useful to parents with teens about to graduate from high school, to those in their 20s and 30s wanting to increase their skills and salary through promotion or career changes, and to professionals wanting to get advanced degrees or take specialized courses while still working full-time,” concluded Greene.
