First-of-its-kind Stellar Solar Store to feature a residential and commercial solar showcase and sustainable lifestyle products
SAN DIEGO, July 12, 2011 — Stellar Solar has announced the August 2011 opening of their new Stellar Solar Store, located at 4730 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, adjacent to SDG&E's new Energy Innovation Center. This is the first retail, open-to-the-public solar store in San Diego County. The Stellar Solar Store will function as a product showcase and design center where residential and commercial solar proposals will be generated on-the-spot through state-of-the-art digital design tools. This will enable the home or business owner to see the proposed system laid out on their roof and to evaluate panels and inverters in a hands-on showroom environment. The Stellar Solar Store will also feature a variety of sustainable retail products for sale at affordable prices that will appeal to a wide range of the general public.
“With SDG&E’s impressive Energy Innovation Center opening right next door, we saw this as an opportunity to reach a wider residential and commercial audience than we could through traditional solar marketing,” said Michael Powers, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Stellar Solar. He added, “With the new lease and financing options we now offer, residential solar is not just for early adopters, but is now being purchased by a mass market of homeowners – anyone with electric bills over $100 per month. We also plan to power the Stellar Solar Store with rooftop solar and we’ll have our solar-powered all-electric Nissan Leaf available for customers to experience and provide another real-world application of solar power.”
