Will Your Son, Daughter or Grandchild Become Chronically Ill with Autism? Author Peter Greenlaw Hopes Not!

DENVER, March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Imagine visiting a major hospital's nursery that has more than 50 infants. Now imagine one of those infants is your child. The odds are one of those children will develop autism. Will that child be your son or daughter?

In its most recent report, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported cases of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have increased from the alarming 1 in 88 to an even more startling 1 in 50. An autism diagnosis is caused by gut, immune and neurological pathologies and toxicity, dietary and other allergies, mitochondrial issues, nutritional deficiencies, metabolic imbalances, autoimmunity and more – all of which are treatable. The toxic insults largely causing ASD come to us via the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe and the biologics we use.

On May 21 through May 25, over a thousand attendees representing hundreds of families are expected to gather at the InterContinental Chicago O'Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, for the AutismOne 2014 Conference. They will hear more that 100 speakers provide cutting-edge information on the causes and latest research and treatments for ASD.

International lecturer and author Peter Greenlaw will be an esteemed speaker at the AutismOne 2014 Conference on Saturday, May 24 at 5 pm. Greenlaw is a prolific author and lecturer. A voice for what you are NOT hearing elsewhere, Greenlaw will share his cutting-edge health and science research knowledge on this very busy day at AutismOne.

Through his intensive years of research, Greenlaw discovered the impact of the chemical toxicity and degraded nutrients of foodstuffs on our health. His most recent book, The TDOS Syndrome™, details the impact of toxicity, nutritional deficiency, overweight and stress on everyone's health — including infants. According to the book Ultra Mind Solution, in 1990 three in 10,000 children were diagnosed with autism — today it is one in 50.

In a 2005 study collaborated upon by the Environmental Working Group and the American Red Cross, cord blood of newborn infants revealed an average of 287 toxic chemicals, including 180 toxins that cause cancer. Another study of more than 1,000 volunteers found an average of 700 toxic chemicals in every person tested.

Could contributing causes be herbicides and fertilizers used on the world's food supply? Greenlaw will directly address the impact of chemicals used to grow food and those in our water supply and air, addressing the impact upon children's health.

"Autism is such an epidemic that we must explore any and all approaches to see if we can slow down the rate of increase. There are many who believe that a nutrient-dense diet can possibly improve the function of children who already have autism. I am honored to speak at the conference and make people aware of what is available in cutting-edge nutritional science," commented Peter Greenlaw.

Teri Arranga, executive director of AutismOne and longtime host on the VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness Channel, added, "I really enjoyed my March 4 radio interview with Peter. His clear explanations relating diet to health were engaging, and we're looking forward to attendees of the upcoming AutismOne 2014 Conference having the opportunity to hear him at his lecture on Saturday, May 24."
