"A Sock Hop with a Twist" Fundraiser Attempts to Break World Record for Most People Doing the Twist Simultaneously

The Sock Hop charity fundraiser wants to get everyone's hips moving. In fact, we want so much twisting going on that it sets a World Record!  Come be a part of making history in Tyler, Texas!

The exciting attempt at breaking the World-Record for "Most People Doing the Twist" at the same time will take place during The Sock Hop on May 31 at Harvey Convention Center in Tyler, Texas.  "Our goal is to have 1,710 people doing the twist at the same time and break the World Record, putting Tyler in the history books forever!" Jackie Stroud said.

Proceeds from the dance will go to the Tyler Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary and the Shriners Hospitals for Children. The event will feature music by the popular '50s music band Vince Vance and the Valiants.

Event organizers are currently seeking individual and corporate sponsorshipswith sponsor packages ranging from $500 to $5,000, which includes recognition in national media, social media (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn), along with tickets to a private VIP party with Vince Vance.
