Fisher, 55, a political outsider, has never run for elected office nor has he worked for town or state government. He is the owner of Merchant's Fabrication in Auburn, a metal manufacturing facility since 2009.

Fisher said that his experience in the private sector "qualifies me to be an authentic representative of the people of Massachusetts." His first order of business if elected would be the removal of all tolls on the Massachusetts Turnpike. Last month, the Patrick administration reinstated the tolls in the western part of the state.

Mr. Fisher said, "It has been seventeen years since Gov. Weld promised that the tolls would be removed after the bonds were paid. I plan to keep his promise."

Fisher is looking forward to a "spirited primary" where he can talk about how to "create more and better jobs" and vows to hold government accountable for their promises.

Mark is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.), and has been a resident of Massachusetts for 54 of his 55 years. He lives in Shrewsbury with his wife Margaret.  Since their marriage 21 years ago they have been life-long residents of Shrewsbury along with their two children. He attended Westfield High School and graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering and an MBA.
