KINSTON, N.C., Feb. 3, 2009 — Spatial Integrated Systems, Inc. (SIS) was awarded two Future Flexible Acquisition & Sustainment Tool (F2AST) subcontracts under the prime contractors Boeing and BAE Systems. F2AST is a Single Agency, Multiple Award Contract (MAC) with a ceiling of $6.9 billion.
F2AST provides sustainment support to all US Air Force operated weapon systems, support systems, subsystems, components, and related services. Primary users are Warner Robins Air Logistics Agency, Ogden Air Logistics Agency, Aeronautical Systems Command, Air Force Special Operations Command and Product Centers. “SIS expects to bring additional reverse engineering, prototyping, Finite Element Analysis, Non Destructive Inspection and Engineering, and other related engineering and analysis work to its Kinston location from these awards,” said Dr. Ali Farsaie, President and CEO. SIS has hired a new business development engineer to facilitate the engineering tasking activities and grow demand for SIS offerings to the US Air Force. SIS will continue to work on other contracts to grow its Aerospace and Defense business within the North Carolina region.
