Gordon Goldstein joins as managing director

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2009 — The Silverfern Advisory Board announced today that it has continued the expansion of its senior merchant banking team with the addition of Gordon Goldstein, the former Head of D.B. Zwirn’s international advisory board.

Gordon brings more than 10 years of senior executive experience from global alternative investing, management consulting and investment banking to the Silverfern team, having most recently been a Managing Director at D.B. Zwirn & Co., a global multi-strategy alternative investment firm and merchant capital provider which, at its peak, managed more than $5 billion in assets and maintained 14 offices worldwide. Gordon was responsible for recruiting and managing D.B. Zwirn’s international advisory board, which included former CEOs, heads of state and prominent international business leaders, who assisted with sourcing, origination, capital raising and the creation and management of global joint ventures throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Working in concert with the firm’s senior advisers and investment professionals, Gordon was engaged in the development of specialized finance businesses, private equity investments and numerous transactions around the world in sectors ranging from aviation to radio broadcasting.

Gordon has served as a Senior Adviser to the Albright Stonebridge Group, a strategic consulting firm founded by the former U.S. Secretary of State and National Security Adviser, and is a former Managing Director at Clark & Weinstock, a management consulting firm, prior to which at J.P. Morgan he was the Director of the Digital Strategy Group, an advisory body to investment banking clients. Gordon also served as strategy, policy and communications advisor to the Executive Office of United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan in New York.

Gordon is currently a Co-Director of the Brookings Institution Project on Sovereign Wealth Funds, a task force composed of leaders from the investment banking, private equity and alternative investment world.

Based in New York, Gordon has primary responsibility for interfacing with and building the Silverfern Advisory Board’s team of executive managers on a global basis.
