EVANSTON, Ill., June 24, 2009 — SignatureForum, a leading online source for consumer reviews and ratings, has revealed its Platinum Physicians List, featuring the highest-rated cosmetic surgeons of the past year. The Platinum Physicians List, much like the Platinum Skin Care Providers group announced last month, is developed by processing consumer reviews of hundreds of service providers across the United States and Canada. Rated on an overall scale of 1-10, only those surgeons scoring an elite 9.0 or better in 2008 earned SignatureForum Platinum Status, with doctors receiving an 8.0 or higher earning Honorable Mention.
Consumer ratings serve an integral role in SignatureForum’s efforts to connect consumers with the best local service providers. After a guest has attended a consultation or undergone a procedure, they are asked to share their opinions on the experience in the form of brief surveys provided by SignatureForum. Guests rate the surgeon and his or her practice on several different categories, including clinic ambiance, quality of the consultation, and post-treatment satisfaction. Each of the ratings is then combined and averaged to produce the guest’s overall satisfaction with the physician
