Save-A-Pet to Partner with Cellar Angels

Wine lovers now using passion to save animals

CHICAGO, Aug. 7, 2012 — Cellar Angels continues its impressive charity partner growth by announcing today a partnership with Illinois-based Save-A-Pet Adoption Center, a large no-kill animal rescue adoption organization located in Grayslake, IL. Save-A-Pet provides ongoing housing, medical care and rehabilitation opportunities for 250-300 dogs and cats at any time. Now when consumers purchase exclusive and discounted Napa and Sonoma wines from Cellar Angels winery partners, they can select Save-A-Pet as a charity funds recipient.

Cellar Angels is the nation's fastest growing cause-based wine marketing company. Their members are treated to online wine deals each week featuring the best Napa wines or the best Sonoma County wines discounted for charity. Members have just five days to take advantage of the offer before it disappears. Each offer comes complete with a custom behind-the-scenes movie of the winery with winemaker interviews, custom recipes and tasting notes.

Save-A-Pet supporters can now use their love of wine and charity to benefit the organization. Cellar Angels' president and founder Martin Cody commented, "It was really serendipity, as a wine lover introduced us. Save-A-Pet is incredible and truly the only 'no-kill' facility in the region. What they do for these animals in treatment, rehabilitation and care is remarkable. It's also expensive. They need our help and for wine lovers everywhere to purchase these great wines so we can raise money for their efforts. We're humbled to have the opportunity to help."

Save-A-Pet was founded by two compassionate volunteers in 1972. Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2012, Save-A-Pet has helped over 40,000 dogs and cats become adopted into loving homes. Development Manager Marc Portugal is very excited about the Cellar Angels partnership. "New exposure can help raise crucial funds needed to care for our dogs and cats. The opportunity to combine fundraising with such an enjoyable lifestyle experience is phenomenal. We are humbled and very grateful to be a new beneficiary of the Cellar Angels program."

Wine lovers across the country are encouraged to join Cellar Angels by going to www.cellarangels.com and signing up to receive their weekly emails. Membership is free and includes benefits such as $1 case shipping, private and complimentary winery tastings, personal phone calls from winemakers and exclusive tours. Previous wine offers included Silverado Vineyards, Robert Keenan Winery, Grgich Hills, Schweiger Family, Meander, Modus-Operandi, Petroni Vineyards, Cornerstone Cellars and countless other Napa and Sonoma wineries featuring the best Napa Cabs and other varietals.
