ONTARIO, Aug. 31, 2009 — Greed and revenge take center stage in Ramesh Chunilal's debut novel, "The Eyes Have It" (published by iUniverse) when Inspector Conrad Dublin uses some unconventional methods to capture a perpetrator.

"'The Eyes Have It' will appeal to readers because it portrays real life situations," Chunilal said. "In the turmoil of life, when crime tends to go unnoticed, where many illicit endeavors take place, and the rich and powerful businessmen in our midst give back to society through charities — nobody sees the bad that they do."

Chunilal's initial focus in the novel is on the life of Beverly Goodfellow and her husband, Dr. James Goodfellow. But when Beverly has an affair with the powerful Melcannoh Henrich, all of South London has to deal with a tragic series of events with former co-workers, now lovers, Stella Haynes and Balan Henson, playing a key part as well.

"The dominant theme is greed and revenge, which is derived from one person's ambition to climb to the top and in so doing using innocent people to reach that end," Chunilal said. "Each character falls into roles and because of greed and revenge, one must fall in order for the other to elevate."

If you have a passion for good literature, Chunilal's descriptive novel will pull you into a world of elicit revenge.
