NEW YORK, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — RFID Journal announced today that registration is now open for RFID Journal LIVE! 2013 (www.rfidjournalevents.com/live), the world's premier conference and exhibition focused on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and its many business applications.

LIVE! 2013 will be held from Apr. 30 to May 2, at the Orange County Convention Center, located in Orlando, Fla. The event will feature four industry-specific and four how-to conference tracks, as well as eight in-depth preconference seminars and workshops, fast-track training, the RFID Journal Awards, and the co-located IEEE RFID 2013 event. In addition, the conference will offer live demonstrations and contests in the industry's largest exhibit space, featuring the leading technology firms.

The conference tracks will cover applications of RFID technologies in the aerospace and defense, health care and pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and retail and apparel sectors. Additional tracks will cover RFID technology and infrastructure, how to deploy RFID, how to use RFID to enhance visibility and traceability, and how to improve supply chain and logistics.

The preconference seminars and workshops will provide in-depth RFID education in such areas as security and access control, harsh environments, warehouse and inventory management, and retail and apparel, with specified programs for IT professionals, suppliers and the Near Field Communication (NFC) sector. The program will also include RFID Journal University, the company's most popular preconference, providing foundational knowledge regarding RFID technologies.

"During the past two years, 75 percent of attendees said they found solutions to their business problems, while 80 percent reported coming away with new ideas for how to employ RFID technologies to benefit their business," said Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "Each year, we strive to make the event better, and we are thrilled about how this year's program is shaping up."

The co-located event, IEEE RFID 2013, will be a series of conferences addressing theoretical, technical and implementation issues related to RF-based identification and communications systems. This conference will be sponsored by the IEEE Technical Committee on RFID (CRFID), a group specially chartered to address RFID-related issues.

Attendees registering early will have the opportunity to save up to $1,000 off regular rates. For additional information regarding LIVE! 2013, please visit www.rfidjournalevents.com/live.
