Prosci Announces Second Annual Global Conference on Leading Change

LOVELAND, Colo., Oct. 8, 2009 — Prosci announced the second annual global conference on change leadership and best practices in change management to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 25-28, 2010. The theme for 2010 is "Trends, Tools & Methodologies" and is designed to bring together authors, academics and professionals in the change management field. Leaders from across the globe will join to share success stories, learn best practices and network.

Co-hosted by the Association for Change Management Professionals (ACMP), the event will include presentations from organizations such as the U.S. House of Representatives, Columbia University and Georgetown University, among others. Participating speakers are thought leaders like Chris Worley, co-author of "Built to Change" and "Organization Development and Change" (the leading textbook on the topic); Jeanie Daniel Duck, author of "The Change Monster: The Human Forces that Fuel or Foil Corporate Transformation and Change" and former Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group; and Linda Ackerman Anderson, co-author of "The Change Leader's Roadmap" and "Beyond Change Management."

"You show me an organization that is not embracing change today, and I will show you an organization that likely will not exist 10 years from now," stated Jeff Hiatt, CEO of Prosci. "Yet, even with organizations attempting to adapt and change, we see too many failures. What they are missing is the core competency to succeed at change, those leadership skills and tools that enable us to lead our employees through the change without sinking the ship along the way. This conference is a unique opportunity to hear from those experts that have forged the way and who have defined what it means to be a true change leader."

The conference will include:

— Case studies of change management successes and challenges
— Proven and promising tools for leading change
— Presentations by change leaders from academic, public and private sectors
— Ratification of the ACMP charter and constitution, and release of the ACMP accreditation standards for review

"In a time when many organizations are cutting budgets, change management is not an area you can sacrifice," said Tim Creasey, Director of Research and Development at Prosci. "Without the skills and tools to manage change, leaders can actually hinder progress. According to research, there is a direct correlation between the use of change management and realizing business results. This conference provides a key to unlock those benefits."

The Prosci Global Conference will be held at the M Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 25-28, 2010. Find out more about this worldwide event for change managers and business leaders at: http://www.acmp.info/conference
