Project Eviive, a Pittsburgh-Based Nonprofit, Partners with CauseWire for Press Release Distribution

BALTIMORE and PITTSBURGH, Sept. 29, 2009 — Project Eviive (http://www.projecteviive.org) has selected CauseWire™ (http://www.ereleases.com/causewire/), a service of eReleases, as its press release distribution partner. Project Eviive’s mission is to provide water purification technology and services to communities in the developing world. Principal technology used is manufactured by Epiphany Solar Water Systems (SWS), another Pittsburgh-based company. Epiphany’s groundbreaking technology utilizes solar energy to distill unclean water in a way that is simple, inexpensive, and sustainable. Project Eviive approached CauseWire as it sought comprehensive press release distribution services on a nonprofit budget.

On September 23, Project Eviive was launched prior to the start of the G20. Co-chairs Eddie Edwards, Jr. and Amy Joseph hosted the media for a presentation on the state of the world’s water supply and the problem of 50% of the world’s population suffering from illness due to contaminated water. Tom Joseph, founder & CEO of Epiphany, was on-hand to demonstrate Epiphany’s solution to the problem. Mr. Joseph demonstrated the use of direct solar power to purify water drawn directly from the Allegheny River. Mr. Joseph also demonstrated a hybridized system in partnership with Pure Water of Lincoln, Nebraska. The hybrid system collected thermal energy from the sun and then stored it in a thermal reservoir for use during nighttime and inclement weather.

“We are happy to welcome Project Eviive into the CauseWire family, where nonprofits receive the same level and value of service for which small and medium-sized businesses depend on eReleases. We understand that nonprofits need to make every cent count,” said Mickie Kennedy, eReleases founder and CEO. “I personally hope that CauseWire publicity will go a long way in helping Project Eviive grow and thrive in its important work.”

CauseWire features newswire distribution, trade media targeting and online visibility to meet the special publicity needs of one of the most dynamic segments of American society, the nonprofit sector – but at half the cost of standard business rates. CauseWire has served nonprofits in fields such as environmental and wildlife conservation, children’s education, companion animal rescue, medical research, women’s health, cultural heritage, job training, senior citizen support services and the arts.
