New President of the National Trial Lawyer Association's Railroad Accident Division is Richard Shapiro

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Sept. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Richard N. Shapiro, a railroad accident injury attorney with Shapiro, Lewis, Appleton & Favaloro, P.C., was elected as President of the National Trial Lawyer Association's Railroad Accident Division.

The Railroad Accident Division is a comprised of a group of attorneys specializing in railroad-related accidents. The goal of the group is for workers in the railroad community to draw upon the strong training, educational and networking resources of the Railroad Accident Division so they may have benefits that were either unavailable, or difficult, to find on their own. Rick is excited to begin his tenure as President and will work to advance the goals of the Railroad Accident Division.

In addition to being named President of the Railroad Accident Division for NTLA, Rick was recently elected as Chairman of the American Association of Justice's Railroad Law Section. Furthermore, Rick has been listed as a Virginia "Super Lawyer" in Law & Politics Magazine (since '10) and was listed in the Best Lawyers in America publication (2013) for his work in railroad injury law.
