‘Poetry (The Revolutionary Movement)’: Provocative New Poetry Collection Gives a Voice to Young, Urban America

NEW YORK, Feb. 2, 2009 — “If we don’t wake up soon, we will witness the genocide of black America and urban culture,” writes poet Jermaine Cordell Rosser in the introduction to his compelling, profound new collection of urban poetry, “Poetry (The Revolutionary Movement)” (published by AuthorHouse).

“Poetry (The Revolutionary Movement)” is part autobiography of Rosser’s lifelong struggle for acceptance in urban America and part declaration of his beliefs about American culture, the government, gender, and religion. Through “Poetry (The Revolutionary Movement),” “you will learn about my political views, and hear my passion for the cause of righteousness expressed about the corrupt evil governments that control the world,” writes Rosser. “It is up to the children of God to save the world and only the Messiah can restore the Lord’s good news.”

His heartfelt, fervent belief in his subject matter is evident in such poems as “4 Horsemen”:

The beast is the so call king of the jungle
The stupidest son of a b@#$% for lying
He’s more like the cowardly lion
The white horse is insane in his sick brain
You rule with a bow and went forth to conquer
My lyrics will make you bow my prophecies like a boomerang
Bath, Jordan, A@#holecroft, your first cousin plot at fox
Brother governor state in Question, chairmen of your campaign
The data base company that didn’t count votes lost identity
And the dragon Supreme Court friends all are your corruption in evidence
And to think the Lord wouldn’t send me to destroy you use your central
intelligence
The second horsemen is a calf VP with a sword
That helps your evil plot a red horse name d@#khead
On your knees beg for God’s mercy with hell you’ll go down under
Your purpose is to keep your infrastructure with famine and hunger
Not to mention the Unocal pipeline with natural gas
You help the beast f@#$ innocent lives but how long will it last
The third horsemen is the black horse speaks nine languages
But hasn’t followed God’s plan
A condom for the beast d@#khead too bad she has the face of a man
The weak link watching time with a pair of balances

Rosser is hopeful that “Poetry (The Revolutionary Movement)’”will provoke much-needed debate and public discussion, even anger or joy, but most of all he hopes to promote hope and change.
