The center recently held its Community Summer Fair on June 23. A free event, the fair offered fun for the center's staff, patients, as well as friends and family. The wide range of festivities included moon bounces, game booths, special treats, and prizes. As part of the center's dedication to wellness, summer safety kits were also distributed to attendees.

"In addition to caring for our patients, we also cherish our local community. Our Community Summer Fair was the perfect way of expressing our appreciation for the Richmond community, and it was highly rewarding to see so many happy faces," said Shlomo Katz, Administrator of the NYC rehab center.

The Richmond Center has also recently unveiled a new Adult Day Health Care Center. A medical day program dedicated to individuals living with HIV/AIDS, as well as mental illness and/or substance abuse problems, the Adult Day Healthcare Program is staffed by an experienced team consisting of a social worker, a registered nurse, and a substance abuse counselor. The team is fluent in English, Spanish, and Russian. Services offered at the facility include health care monitoring, mental health support, recreational therapy, specialized referral services, door to door transportation, nutritional planning, and many other forms of treatment.

"We're so pleased to add our new Adult Day Healthcare Program to the Richmond facility. Offering dedicated staff and top of the range facilities, this is a true home away from home for those in need of constant care," said Dina Schwartz, Creative Director of Centers for Specialty Care Group.
