Non-Profit Combatting International Childhood Malnutrition Wins Startup Competition

Socially Minded Startup, MANA Nutrition, Wins Weekly National Competition; Three New Contestants Are Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Dec. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Dream Big America, the first-ever live nationally syndicated radio show pitting startup business ventures against each other, and broadcast on Doug Stephan's Good Day Show (www.dougstephan.com) each Tuesday at 9:10 am EST, announces MANA Nutrition as this week's winner.

Mark Moore, CEO of MANA Nutrition (www.mananutrition.org), won this past week's competition, securing a spot in the December 31stFinals Show. MANA produces ready-to-use therapeutic food derived from peanuts for children suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM). Roughly three servings of MANA a day for six weeks can save the life of a child suffering from (SAM).

This month's competition highlights past finalists and semi-finalists from Get In The Ring: The American Startup Clash (www.kauffman.org) competition. Founded by the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, Get In The Ring gives America's most exceptional entrepreneurs an opportunity to compete against founders from across the country and around the world.

The upcoming December 10th show features three new Get In The Ring finalists and semi-finalists including Drazil Foods, International ThermoDyne and REPP. The Expert Panelist for this round will be Jochem Cuppen, Program Manager for the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship.

Drazil Foods (www.drazilfoods.com), presented by Founder and CEO Christine Wheeler, is the first ready-to-drink herbal tea for kids. Drazil Kids Tea provides a healthy alternative to conventional, sugary soda products.

International ThermoDyne (www.itlthermodyne.com), presented by Principal Tim Risser, is revolutionizing the way we create and use power. Their lead product, PowerFelt, is a cloth that provides portable, inexpensive, renewable electricity, extending battery life by 15-20 percent.

REPP (www.myrepp.com), presented by CEO and Co-Founder Michael Bergman, is an identity and background verification and management platform for individuals and online service providers.

Dream Big America (www.DreamBigAmerica.us) airs each Tuesday at 9:10am to 9:40am EST on Doug Stephan's Good Day Program, syndicated to over 500 markets across the United States with a weekly listening audience of 3.5 million.
