ROANOKE, Va., Aug. 19, 2009 — N2Care founder Kenneth Dupin presents the MEDcottage to the public on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Sheraton Hotel Conference Theater at 2801 Hershberger Rd. in Roanoke, VA 24017.
CEO and founder of N2Care Kenneth Dupin is throwing down a bedpan gauntlet at the steps of the White House and Congress, declaring that the 78 million baby boomers are not going to nursing homes, not ever! On Wednesday, N2Care, an innovative start-up company launching the MEDcottage, is sending 100 bedpans all over the country to national leaders including President Obama, cabinet members, senators and delegates with a sticker applied declaring, “We’re not going to nursing homes, not ever!” Consequently, Kenneth Dupin is initiating the concept and design of the MEDcottage as an option to nursing homes.
The MEDcottage offers a unique and less expensive alternative to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Our passion at N2Care is driven by the needs of our own families and friends. We are endeavoring to change senior and rehabilitative care by creating a superior quality environment for short-term and extended medical care. N2Care, without any public money or corporate sponsors, combines research, innovation, and design, bringing a product and concept to market that is unparalleled in our culture. We believe the economic and emotional appeal will be widely embraced by a culture of baby boomers seeking extended independence, family support and policymakers in search of health care parity.
The MEDcottage is to be leased and placed on the caregiving family’s property with features that most hospital and nursing home rooms are denied. Comforts of a home setting, proximity to loved ones and access to a whole new level of medical technology are merged into the MEDcottage. The MEDcottage contains a family communication center that provides telemetry, environmental control and dynamic interaction to off-site caregivers through smart and robotic technology. The MEDcottage is charming, comfortable, a fraction of the cost of a hospital or nursing home, and most importantly, close to the caregiving family.
