Metallurgical High Vacuum Announces High Vacuum Newsletter

Sixth issue brings helpful tips and news to heat treaters and PVD coaters

FENNVILLE, Mich., May 30, 2012 — Metallurgical High Vacuum has issued the latest "High Vacuum News" to provide vacuum heat treaters and coating industry professionals with tips and hints to keep their vacuum pumps running strong.

As Geoff Humberstone, MHV President, comments: "We have helped many customers keep their operations running smoothly, even if they are 20-30 or more years old. When the OEM manufacturer leaves a customer on his own, we are there to engineer and replace almost everything that he needs to get it running again. We even manufacture and stock parts no longer available from OEMs. We can make things look and run virtually like new."

The newsletter addresses typical problems for keeping complex systems running well.

According to Humberstone: "Some of our customers have had issues with leak checking their systems. So I put together an article for Industrial Heating magazine that covers practical pointers and tips we've learned over the years using a helium leak detector."

MHV also wants to enable two-way communication with customers and other busy professionals in the industry to share information. Here's a sample of the articles:

  • How to Run Pumps for Longer Life
  • Plastic Parts Coatings — How W&M Manufacturing Keeps Quality and Production Up
  • Helium Leak Detection — Finding Leaks in a Furnace or Chamber Takes Some Careful "Sniffing" Around Using a Helium Leak Detector

Readers are asked to send in questions and ideas, as well as tips from their own experience.
