Wing Chun is an effective martial art form that can be practiced by men, women, children, and even movie stars. Sherlock Holmes and Iron Man star Robert Downey, Jr. has been a Wing Chun practitioner for many years and in an interview with Oprah stated, "I can't even say how much it's affected my ability to stay well and stay focused." The Wing Chun fighting style can be also seen in the movie Yip Man, as well as in films featuring Bruce Lee, who first learned Wing Chun from Yip Man.

"One of the unique benefits of Wing Chun is that it's accessible for anyone who wants to learn," says Master Redmond. "Wing Chun relies on physics more than brute strength, enabling those using Wing Chun to overpower larger opponents. It can be effectively used for both self-defense and offensive techniques, regardless of a person's age or size."

During the seminar, Master Redmond will teach various Wing Chun techniques and forms for beginners, as well as more advanced techniques that are effective against Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters and other forms.

The Helena Wing Chun Seminar is open to all, from beginning levels to advanced. No martial art experience or previous training required. Registration is $80 for 1-day, $150 for 2-days and includes lunches and dinners. For more information and to register online, visit www.wingchunkwoon.com.
