Mark Horwedel, Payments Industry Veteran and CEO of the Merchant Advisory Group, Joins SignatureLink Board of Advisors

RIDGELAND, Miss., Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Greg Wooten, SignatureLink CEO, states, "Mark Horwedel has worked exclusively in the payments industry for over three decades. He has extensive payments background and knowledge from both a merchant as well as a financial institution perspective. Mark's present-day leadership of the Merchant Advisory Group (MAG) positions him as someone who knows the issues merchants struggle with, and his input will help us make sure SecureBuy continues to meet the evolving needs of Mobile Commerce and eCommerce merchants."

The MAG is a trade association focused on merchant payment issues. As CEO of that organization, Horwedel advocates for merchants on the topics of EMV, mobile commerce and eCommerce; he also represents the MAG on the Federal Reserve's Mobile Industry Working Group.

Prior to joining the MAG, Horwedel pioneered some of the first PIN debit networks including Illinois-based Money Network where he helped introduce the use of PIN debit cards at merchants' point-of-sale. His background includes stints with banks and credit unions as well as with Walmart, where his duties included lobbying on merchant payment matters, including the Durbin amendment to the Dodd-Frank Act. Horwedel is a frequent contributor to payments newsletters.
