Cash Prize Pool of over $10,000 for the Top Stock Trader amongst College Students
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Invoost Games, a social stock trading game provider, today announced the launch of its US College Stock Trading Championship. Students will be able to compete against one another on the NASDAQ 100 in an eight-week championship. There are no costs or fees to participate. The event starts on February 19, 2013 and the final begins on April 7, 2013. Invoost has invited over 200 universities, however the championship is open to all universities nationwide. Current students signed up hail from schools such as Wisconsin, UPenn, Penn State, UCSD, and Harvard and 30 others. The results will test how students from top schools fair against the rest.
The prize pool at stake includes a guaranteed $10,000. In addition, for every player who registers after the 10,000 mark, Invoost will contribute an additional $1. Legendary investors Dr. Chris Kacher and Gil Morales will give the winner a subscription to selfishinvesting.com. The winner will also earn the prestige of bringing the College Stock Trading Championship Trophy to his or her school. The US College Stock Trading Championship is sponsored by OptionsHouse, an options trading firm.
During the fall of 2012, Invoost arranged a smaller trial event with great success in Europe. Students from top European MBA programs at Cambridge, INSEAD and the London Business School participated in the tournament. The winner was a Spanish student from the ESADE Business School in Spain.
