International Exit Planning Event of the Year Hosted by the Exit Planning Institute from September 17-19, 2013 in Cleveland, Ohio

Results of The National State of Owner Readiness Research Project survey to be presented at event

CHICAGO, July 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The Exit Planning Institute is set to host the International Exit Planning Institute Conference on September 17-19, 2013 at the brand new state-of-the-art Cleveland Convention Center and Global Center for Health Innovation in Cleveland, OH. This event, being deemed the Exit Planning Event of the Year, will gather the robust international group over 200 Certified Exit Planning Advisors (CEPA) and various professional advisors within the exit planning field. Five countries will be represented at this year's conference with advisors from Mexico, Canada, Australia, Germany and the United States.

The National State of Owner Readiness Research Project is a survey by the Exit Planning Institute in conjunction with PNC Bank, Grant Thornton, and Kent State University. These organizations have combine their resources in an effort to assess and gain a better understanding of the "State of Readiness" to transition privately-held small and middle market businesses. There are 10,000 baby boomers turning 65 every day and this generation owns 63% of all privately held businesses in the United States. The results of this project will be revealed and discussed for the first time at the 2013 conference.

Nationally regarded leader in the field of private capital markets John Paglia PhD of Pepperdine University will be the keynote speaker of the event with his topic Pathways to Effective Exit Planning on September 18, 2013. John is joined by six "Gurus" in their respective fields on September 17 where which the Gurus will take advisors through six deep dive sessions on particular subject matter such as Exit Planning Therapy, Navigating Family Dysfunction and Valuing Family Limited Partnerships.

In the much anticipated Valuation Debate two contenders will debate the two methods each advocates to valuing a business. Mike Adhikari from Business ValueXpress and the Alliance of Mergers and Acquisitions Advisors (AM&AA) will debate Robert Stutz from Western Reserve Partners and the Executive Advisory Board for National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).

For the first time ever, the Excellence in Exit Planning awards will presented during a gala event on the evening of September 18, 2013. At this event a business owner will be presented with the Exit of the Year award and a professional advisor will be crowned Exit Planner of the Year. These awards will showcase examples of successful exit strategies and build best practices on international stage.
