Fox is a seasoned senior-level executive with over 27 years of experience in the postsecondary education sector. Prior to joining IEC, he founded Tall Oak Learning, LLC and served as the President & Chief Executive Officer from 2008 – 2013. Tall Oak is the parent company of Southern Careers Institute, Inc (SCI) which operates 7 Career Schools in Texas. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of SCI from 2009-2013. Prior to founding Tall Oak, in late 2003 Fox founded Gryphon Colleges Corporation. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer and grew the company to more than 30 campuses over a four-year period. The company later changed its name to Delta Career Education Corporation. Prior to establishing Gryphon Colleges Corporation, Fox served in numerous, increasingly responsible positions for Corinthian Colleges, Inc (COCO) from 1997 through 2003.
Joe Fox earned his Master of Business Administration degree (with honors) from Averett University in Virginia, and Bachelor of Science degrees in both Marketing and Management from Radford University in Virginia.
