Inspirational New Collection of Godly Visions from Missionary

Freddie Power Shares Her Personal Testimony to the Fact of God’s Love, Communication

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 4, 2009 — “God speaks to us in many different ways,” writes devoted missionary Freddie Power in the first line of her inspirational new collection of true stories, “Visions: God Speaks” (published by AuthorHouse), which serves as her personal testimony to the fact that God still speaks to us, showing us that he still loves us on a daily basis.

“Visions” is a record of visions that the author received from God during her daily life, Christian ministry, times of worship and prayer both personal and corporate. Each of her visions is chronicled as they appeared and she shares her interpretation, any Scriptural connection and the results of how she acted upon her communication with God in real life.

Power is hopeful that her own testimony will encourage others to listen and know that God speaks to them. “When he speaks, what He says will come to pass,” she writes, “even if it looks different than you imagined, or in a different time frame than you had hoped.” One of her visions, “South Africa,” occurred when Power was worshipping God and this particular vision Power feels applies to Psalm 146:7 where it is written: “… the Lord sets prisoners free.” Power writes of her vision and the resulting action she took on its behalf:

The Holy Spirit was making a waterfall on my hands. He was pouring water onto my hands and it was running through my fingers. Jesus came and dropped keys into my hand. He asked me to unlock prison doors.

As I was walking down a dark hallway, I came to prison cells. I was ready to unlock the cells. …

The fulfillment of this vision was seen in South Africa. Four days before we were due to return to the States, we were invited to minister in a prison. That day I knew the Holy Spirit was going to do miracles. About 100 prisoners gathered in a meeting room. Standing in the corner of the room was a 14-foot angel. Josh Hollingsworth shared his testimony and the prisoners listened to every word. After Josh spoke we asked the Holy Spirit to come. As we spoke in tongues, a holy rumble began. We were aware of oppression leaving the prisoners. Every prisoner was given a prophetic word, including a former Satan worshipper. Guards even allowed us to pray for them.

“Visions” is a powerful reminder that God still speaks, even if it is in often-overlooked ways, including a small voice, an answered prayer, an audible voice, visions and dreams.

Freddie Power was born in Tennessee and has traveled all over the world as a missionary for the poor, needy and widowed. Her ministry developed into the non-profit organization Keeping Hope Alive. Today, she is a proud wife, mother of three and grandmother of seven children. In 2009, Power plans to carry God’s love to orphaned children in eight more countries, including Kenya, where she plans to build an orphanage for those children whose parents have died of AIDS.
