Innovative Test Equipment Supplier Introduces New Product Line

NEW BERLIN, WI, June 16, 2003 — Digalog Systems Inc., manufacturers of test and measurement equipment for 30 years, today introduced the first of its line of PXI products. The 0000-6602 Power Relay Assembly offers 16 channels of switching for signals up to 30 volts at 10 amps. This assembly is for sale at Digalog’s newest web site: http://www.digalogpxi.com.

Digalog has manufactured data acquisition, test systems and provided test services, to the electronics manufacturing community since 1973. The addition of PXI cards to Digalog’s product line-up complements the systems and services portions of the business.

The resources of a 6602 High Current Relay card consists of sixteen Form A relays, each capable of switching 10 Amps of current, at 30 Volts DC (35VAC). These relays are controlled with simple functions to the card, or they may be controlled with a pre-loaded list of switch states (1024 States). Several trigger sources may be used to advance this state list.

The 6602 Relay card follows the PXI Specification for peripheral cards. This standard, controlled by the PXI Systems Alliance, builds upon the CompactPCI Specification. The PXI standard adds several enhancements to Compact PCI, most notably a trigger bus, a local bus, a star trigger, and a reference clock. The specification also includes more stringent system mechanical requirements and software requirements.
