Inc.com Names Top 10 Brand Disasters of 2011

HOLLIS, N.H., Dec. 16, 2011 — What do Netflix, Bank of America, and Abercrombie & Fitch have in common? They all clobbered their brands in 2011, according to Geoffrey James, the world's top sales blogger, writing in Inc.com.

Geoffrey, who now writes a daily column for Inc.com, created and wrote the award-winning Sales Machine blog, which regularly achieved more than a million page views a month, making it by far the world's most popular sales-oriented blog.

In previous years, Geoffrey's list has included "brands" as diverse as "Islam" and "Obama." For 2011, he's focused on big corporate brands since "there were so many hilarious debacles to choose from," he explains.

In addition to writing for Inc.com, Geoffrey authored the just-published "How to Say It: Business to Business Selling," (Prentice Hall, 2011), which features the best techniques from a dozen top sales gurus, packaged into a one-day read for novice sales reps.

"To build a portfolio of B2B accounts requires in-depth knowledge that can be worth the effort and time to acquire," says Robert Carr, CEO of Heartland Payment Systems, one of the world's largest credit card processing services. "Geoffrey's work is a valuable addition to the tools that are available to the budding B2B expert."
