HR Consultant Pierre A. Towns Launches The Employee Empowerment Institute

CARLSBAD, Calif., July 7, 2010 — Pierre Towns announced today the creation of The Employee Empowerment Institute, http://www.EmployeeEmpowermentInstitute.com.  The Institute has developed a revolutionary approach that focuses on assisting the American worker to take more control of their work life, instead of relying solely on their employer to look out for their best interest and career.

The Employee Empowerment Institute has three primary objectives: personal empowerment education, employee advocacy and personal empowerment development facilitation. The Institute supports the American worker by providing them the knowledge, skills, ability and motivation to increase their personal empowerment, job satisfaction, performance and career opportunities. It is a multimedia human resources and employee advocacy resource available to 152 million civilian U.S. workers. Per Pierre Towns, Executive Director of The Employee Empowerment Institute, "The American worker is and has been under siege: wages are stagnant, hours are longer, BlackBerrys and laptops have extended work to vacations and off days, work environments are more hostile, unemployment is up and the traditional sources of employee help and advice, i.e., company human resources practitioners, union reps, ombudspersons and organization management, are less effective in providing a good faith effort to resolve employees' human resources issues."

The Employee Empowerment Institute, through various services including its Internet talk radio show "The Water Cooler," provides free, expert human resources advice and tools to workers that are unintentionally or intentionally victimized by organizations that are ignorant of, ignore, or work to circumvent State and Federal labor laws to their advantage, and the detriment of their workers. The Institute advocates on behalf of workers using multiple media outlets, including: blogs, articles, a radio talk show, speaking engagements, seminars, guest appearances and consulting to increase awareness of the issue and solutions. The Institute also facilitates the adoption of employee empowerment behaviors by providing training, assessments and other tools that enable workers to take charge of many of their work-life issues.
