WASHINGTON, Sept. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Hines announced today that, effective immediately, Timothy R. Lowery has been appointed General Manager of CityCenterDC and will oversee management, operations, marketing, and tenant relations for the approximately 350,000-square-foot retail center, including all parking and common areas at the landmark, mixed-use development in Downtown Washington, D.C. Mr. Lowery will also be responsible for the general coordination of all uses (including office, retail, residential, rental and condominium) at CityCenterDC, managing the activities of a team of approximately one hundred fifty professionals.

Mr. Lowery has been with Hines since 2002 in New York and Washington, D.C. and has been responsible for the management, coordination, due diligence, project management and leasing of over 7 million square-feet of property developed and acquired by Hines in multiple regions during his tenure with the company. Prior to his tenure at Hines, Lowery served as Executive Director of Operations for the non-profit organization Publicolor in New York.
Mr. Lowery holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and is a licensed real estate broker in the District of Columbia and New York State.

CityCenterDC (www.citycenterdc.com) is a unique, pedestrian-friendly, 10-acre mixed-use development, located in the heart of downtown Washington on a 4.5-block parcel bounded by New York Avenue, 9th, H and 11th Streets, NW. Construction of Phase I of the project commenced in March 2011. Construction of Phase II of the project is expected to commence in the first half of 2014. It will consist of an approximately 370-room luxury hotel and 73,000 square feet of additional retail.
