High-Tech Fashion Goes to Your Head

Innovative new use of Microfiber in bandanas offers more style and functionality

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif., Aug. 1, 2006 — In a category that has seen virtually no innovation since its birth, a brand new lifestyle company called Kena Kai will soon launch bandanas in two grades of "Microfiber" and five different designs. Microfiber is a technical fabric that is five-times (5X) more absorbent than cotton. The fabric also wicks moisture away from the body better than cotton and evaporates this moisture quicker.

"Bandanas are used by millions for various purposes – from absorbing perspiration during active-sports to simply acting as a fashion accessory, this new line will enhance all of these uses," offered Geb Masterson, President of Kena Kai. "We’ve taken the current ‘hot’ colors, such as; Moss, Burnt Olive, Bijou Blue, Golden Ochre, etc. and created beautiful unisex designs out of this great fabric – these are far and away the coolest bandanas you’ve ever seen!"

Each two-color design is available in either the super-absorbent suede-like Microfiber or the ‘Ultra’ Microfiber that feels like silk. The thicker ‘suede’ Microfiber is recommended for high-activity sports or situations where greater levels of perspiration will be encountered. This version will actually absorb up to a cup of water, and when soaked in cool water prior to activity can be used to cool down the body while this water evaporates away.

The ‘Ultra’ version is made from extremely thin strands of Microfiber that give the bandana a ‘silky’ feel. This grade is recommended for more general use.

Available in five stylish patterns, in two grades of Microfiber, these bandanas measure 24-inches x 24-inches and will retail for $17.99. These bandanas will be launched at http://www.kenakai.com August 30th, 2006.

With a distinctive combination of style and innovation, Kena Kai designs unique items for those that enjoy life with a passion and want more than the status-quo. Full-color photos and information for the product can be currently obtained by emailing Geb Masterson at .
