A Healthy Dose of Hope to Go, When Tragedy Strikes, Look Up

"When God closes a door, somewhere He opens a window"

SAN DIEGO, June 9, 2011 — In October 2007, the largest, historic firestorm swept across San Diego county claiming the lives of people, their homes, businesses and in some cases, their dreams and aspirations. One woman's hope arose from the rubble. Rebuilding your lives after disaster strikes can be exasperating and overwhelming. Vincene Parrinello is a cancer survivor. She has also overcome tremendous adversity and forges into the future, thriving, despite the past, and is helping thousands of people across the nation repair their spirit and skin.

Many of the homes in her San Diego development were lost. Her family's home sustained some damage, grateful for God's mercy. This was not the case for the Hope Aesthetics company that she began and worked for seventeen years. When Parrinello got back to her office & warehouse she discovered that several of the organic ingredients had perished. She was confronted with a business decision no one wants to make. Without those materials, Hope Aesthetics couldn't produce many of the popular skin care products. The organic facial center she had opened with her husband, just one month before the fires, did not have enough products in it to sustain the mail order business. After deliberating with advisors the company was closed. "I felt like a part of me died. Like I was going to stop breathing. Seventeen years of hard work was gone. It was one of the worst days in my life. I really couldn't determine what I was going to do. I felt like I had lost everything," Vincene explains.

Months passed. Customers kept encouraging Vincene to create a new line; she did, based on a "professional use" product line she developed that was awarded the Inventors Gold Medal in June 2007. She took those formulas and redeveloped them for in-home use by consumers.

Wai Hope products offer so much more than "hope in a jar." She discovered cell restorative ingredients such as a rare Red Fijian Seaweed (with outside research now claiming it has anti-cancer properties), Brazilian fruit juices and more. She took these botanicals and created a "broth." In place of using purified water for the product formulas, her patented broth, the BHW Complex, Wai Restructured™ Water, is the main ingredient of the formulas. Wai Hope products care for skin that has been challenged by medications and illness because the cellular DNA changes so much that mainstream skin care products just don't provide the same benefits to this skin type.

Wai Hope began operating in 2008 and has been growing ever since. "Starting over again, I had the chance to once again reconnect with my customers," says Vincene.

Daily operations for the mail order and wholesale business occur in a house located on a hilltop local winery. Products are produced by FDA-approved USA manufacturers. Parrinello has her onsite lab where she develops and researches new ingredients and formulas.

In the first three and a half years of operation the company has generated $450,000.00 in gross sales. The best selling products are the Taboo del Sol SPF 30 organic sun care products and phenomenal Seawater Recharging Facial Mist, Private Reserve Serum di Hope, Eye Dew Hydrosurge, Daybreak and Ubuntu Moisturizers.

"Wai Hope has exceeded our sales expectations during our first three years and it's by far more than I ever thought possible to obtain again, especially in this troubled economy. People are looking for products that are formulated genuinely, with real ingredients, not harmful chemicals. Our heart goes into every single thing we do. From product development to conversations we have with each customer to help them select the products they need. My heart goes out to those Americans and others who are struck by tragedy, in what feels like a vicious cycle. Jeremiah 29:11 — 'For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future' … but you have to believe, let your faith heal your wounds and never, NEVER give up," exclaims Vincene.
