Better Healthcare in San Antonio: Post Acute Medical, LLC Acquires New Long-Term Acute Care Hospital

CAMP HILL, Pa., Aug. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Post Acute Medical (the Company) today announced the purchase of Promise Hospital of San Antonio. Promise Hospital of San Antonio is a 26-bed Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) located within the Southwest General Hospital. The facility will be renamed Warm Springs Specialty Hospital of San Antonio.

The Company currently operates its flagship rehabilitation hospital, a 65-bed facility in the Medical Center along with the following rehab and LTACH beds in Texas: 34 rehabilitation beds in Thousand Oaks, 40 rehabilitation beds in Westover Hills, 40 LTACH beds in new Braunfels, 34 LTACH beds in Luling and 26 LTACH beds in Victoria. The addition of the newly acquired Promise LTACH beds completes the continuum of care offered by Warm Springs in the San Antonio market.

According to Promise Healthcare Executive Vice President of Hospital Operations Richard Gold, there were many suitors for its San Antonio LTACH. "As a longtime healthcare provider in the San Antonio community with commitment to leadership in this intensive level of specialized acute hospital care, we are pleased to pass the baton to Post Acute Medical," said Gold who notes that Promise, which operates 13 hospitals in six states, is focusing the company's growth in its headquartered state of Florida with Certificates of Need (CONs) for two new locations currently under exploration/development.
