Leading press release distribution hub launches GreenRelease^TM program designed to help offset global warming

BALTIMORE, April 22, 2009 – eReleases (http://www.ereleases.com) today launched its GreenRelease^TM program in which the press release distribution company will plant a tree for every press release it distributes. The company has already purchased more than 20,000 trees to be planted to represent the press releases eReleases® has issued since launching in 1998.

One of the largest programs of its kind in the press release industry, eReleases has partnered with Trees for the Future (http://www.treesftf.org), a non-profit organization that improves livelihoods in developing countries through beneficial tree planting and sustainable land management projects.

A single tree can effectively remove about 50 pounds of carbon dioxide per year, replacing it with oxygen. In addition, trees provide shade, block winds, support birds and wildlife, prevent soil erosion, and play a role in cleaning groundwater.
